Early Registration Ends September 1 for the Almond Short Course

UCĀ ANR Cooperative Extension in collaboration with UC Davis is offering an integrated orchard management short course on all phases of almond culture and production on November 8-10, 2016 in Modesto.

The program will provide participants the latest information and research from UC Faculty, Cooperative Extension Specialists, and Farm Advisors.

Three full days of instruction with over 35 presentations will cover topics including orchard planning, evaluation and management of soil, tree training, irrigation, economics of almond farming, and pest management.

New and experienced growers as well as other industry members interested in commercial almond production are welcome to attend. Attendees will gain networking opportunities and quality time with presenters along with a chance to have questions answered by professionals in the industry.

Pre-registration is required and begins at $900 per person. Registration for the program includes full course participation, course materials, three lunches and two receptions, and the ability to receive continuing education credits.
